Outdoor Spaces Perfect Places

RHS Award Winning Garden and Landscape Design

RHS Award Winning Garden and Landscape Design across Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Norfolk

Gardens with depth, structure and soul

Tim Jennings is an RHS award winning garden designer creating considered garden and landscape design across Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Norfolk, including Cambridge and the surrounding countryside. His work brings together strong architectural structure and expressive planting to produce gardens that feel grounded, enduring and deeply connected to their setting.

A garden should not simply look designed. It should feel as though it belongs.

As a member of the Society of Garden Designers, Tim works with clients throughout East Anglia to create outdoor spaces that are beautiful, resilient and quietly life enhancing, balancing material quality, spatial clarity and a deep understanding of how landscapes mature over time.

A Thoughtful and Collaborative approach

With over twenty years of creative practice, my role is to listen, observe and reveal the true potential of a space. I believe the best gardens emerge from a balance of considered geometry and natural planting. Calm structure provides the frame. Seasonal planting brings movement, softness and life.

Clients often describe the process as relaxed, engaging and reassuring. My aim is to guide you through each stage with clarity so the journey from first idea to completed garden feels enjoyable and unhurried.

I take on a limited number of projects each year so that I can remain personally involved throughout the design and delivery of every garden.

From Intimate Courtyards to Larger Landscapes

My portfolio spans everything from small private gardens to larger rural and urban landscapes. Recent work includes both domestic gardens and commercial landscapes, including design concepts and commissions for Warner Bros. Studios, Netflix, Wonderworks and an inspiring ongoing project with Mencap, as well as a farm to table restaurant garden and productive dining landscape.

Wherever I work, the intention remains the same. To create places that feel grounded, natural and deeply connected to their setting.

Rooted in Cambridgeshire

Tim Jennings Design is based between Ely and Lode in Cambridgeshire, close to the historic cathedral and the gardens of Anglesey Abbey. These landscapes continue to inform and inspire my practice and my belief in gardens as living, evolving places

I regularly design gardens in Cambridge and the surrounding villages. You can learn more about my garden design services in Cambridge here.

About Tim Jennings

RHS award winning garden designer in Cambridge and East Anglia

I am a garden and landscape designer based in Cambridgeshire, working throughout East Anglia and beyond. My background spans over twenty years of creative practice and I am a member of the Society of Garden Designers.

I am drawn to gardens that combine strong structure with natural, expressive planting. My role is to listen carefully, understand the spirit of a place and translate this into spaces that feel relaxed, elegant and deeply connected to their surroundings.

Recent commissions include private gardens, larger landscapes and commercial projects for clients such as Warner Bros. Studios, Netflix and Mencap. I also write about gardens and the wider landscape, and my RHS award winning garden at Hampton Court reflected many of the themes that continue to shape my work today.

Clients often tell me that they value the sense of calm and clarity I bring to the process as much as the final design. For me, the relationship is as important as the garden itself.

I take on a limited number of projects each year so that every commission receives the time and care it deserves.

Locations and Areas Covered

I work throughout Cambridgeshire, Suffolk, Norfolk and the wider East Anglia region, as well as selected projects further afield where the brief and connection feel right.

I regularly design gardens in and around Ely, Cambridge, Newmarket, Bury St Edmunds, Norwich and the North Norfolk coast, along with rural villages and market towns across the region.
