Quietly rooted in the landscapes of East Anglia
My work as a garden and landscape designer is closely connected to the character and rhythm of East Anglia. The wide skies, open fields, coastal light and historic architecture of the region continue to influence both the spirit and structure of my gardens.
I am based between Ely and Lode in Cambridgeshire, and I regularly work with clients across Cambridgeshire, Suffolk, Norfolk, East Anglia, Hertfordshire and London, along with selected projects further afield where there is a strong creative connection.
Wherever the project, my intention remains the same. To design gardens that belong to their setting, feel calm and grounded, and evolve beautifully over time
Cambridgeshire
Much of my work begins close to home in Ely, Cambridge and the surrounding villages. The mix of contemporary architecture, historic properties and open Fenland landscape provides a rich and varied context for design. I enjoy creating gardens that sit comfortably within this landscape, combining strong underlying structure with naturalistic planting that softens and enriches the space.
Whether designing for compact city gardens or larger rural plots, my aim is always to create places that feel serene, welcoming and deeply connected to the life of the home.
Suffolk
I also design gardens throughout Suffolk, including Newmarket, Bury St Edmunds, the Waveney Valley and the coast. The quietly beautiful countryside, heritage buildings and softer rolling terrain lend themselves to gardens with a relaxed elegance and a strong sense of place.
In Suffolk I am often asked to create gardens that blend contemporary living with a timeless rural character, using planting that brings movement and seasonal interest while supporting wildlife and biodiversity.
Norfolk
Norfolk’s remarkable light, open skies and coastal landscapes provide a unique design context. I work with clients across the county, including Norwich, the North Norfolk coast and the surrounding countryside, creating gardens that feel calm, restrained and quietly expressive.
Whether working with coastal properties, period homes or contemporary architecture, I take care to ensure each garden belongs to its wider landscape, using confident structure and naturalistic planting to create spaces that are both elegant and alive.
A discreet and personal service
Many of my clients value privacy and a thoughtful, unhurried approach. I take on a limited number of projects each year so that I can remain closely and personally involved throughout the design and delivery of each garden.
I am always happy to travel to explore projects where there is a good creative fit, and I often work collaboratively with architects, interior designers and other specialists when appropriate.
